Heat Treatment:ForgingPre heat to 750ºC - 800ºC, then continue heating to 1100ºC - 1200ºC maximum, hold until temperature is uniform throughout the section and commence forging immediatelyAnnealingHeat to 800ºC - 850ºC hold until temperature is uniform throughout the section, and cool in furnaceHardeningHeat to 820ºC - 850ºC hold until temperature is uniform throughout the section, soak for 10 - 15 minutes per 25mm of section, and quench in water or brine.
