GOST 8732-78 applies to hot-worked seamless steel pipes of general purpose, manufactured by outside diameter, wall thickness and length.

Manufacture: the tubes shall be manufactured by cold drawn and hot rolled. Delivery Condition: heat treated. Inspection & Test: chemical composition analysis, elongation test, hardness test, flattening test, bending test, flaring test, NDT, surface inspection and dimension check.

Length: 4000mm; 6000mm; 6500mm; 10000mm; 12010mm; and so on. Max developed length: 30 meters, also U bending, finning, studded process can be provided. Option: shot blasting on the outside surface to remove mill scale, make the surface matte colour; surface polishing as preparation work done for further processing, for instance finning.
