Special Steel P20+S/ 1.2312  round bar for Plastic Mould

P20+S /1.2312 steel is Chrome-manganese-molybdenum steel for hardening in air or in oil with very good hardenability and good firmness during the heat. It is well-workable during the heat and due to an increased content of sulfur well-workable both in the soft-annealed state and the heat-treated state. The steel has good polishability, it can be cemented in the bath or in gas and also put on the hard-chrome.





1, The main performance

P20+S/1.2312 round bar, flat bar, plate and block.  As an alloy tool steel grade P20+S/1.2312 is commonly supplied in the hardened and tempered condition with a supply hardness of approximately 300HB. This steel gives an excellent polished finish and is one of the most widely accepted specifications for machine cut plastic moulds and zinc die casting dies. This grade gives excellent wear resistance but if maximum surface hardness is required for compression moulding plastic dies or similar tools, the steel can be case hardened or nitrided.

It has excellent hardening depth and good machinability,delivery to pre hardened and tempered condition,sulfur content is higher than 1.2311.Can impose nitriding processing(about 800HV), plating Nickel or chrome.

Mainly used for the degree of thefamily which do not require extreme large plastic moulds,used as a low melting point of die holder,mould base, etc
