Rebar (Reinforcing Bar) is a ferrous steel deformed bar which is used for reinforcement, strengthening & holding concrete. It is
usually formed with a surface which is patterned (known as a deformed bar) to make a better adherence with the concrete spilled
around it. No specific or special patterns are there for deforming, however, the number, spacing, and the height of the marks are
standardized and integrated into the primary debar. In addition, there are plain bars which are used in the most specific and
definite ways, only.
Owing to the fact that rebar holds the concrete in a compact state, it is known as a tensioning material. when it comes into the
compression, concrete is a very tough and strong material, but it almost has no strength where it comes to carrying tensile loads.
To overcome this, rebar casts in concrete to carry the loads.
Production Process of Rebar
1. Carbon or alloy Steel is melted to the liquid form,
2. The liquid steel is pulled by s small round opening to make the rebar formed.
3. The producer will make the curve and grooves to make sure the metal will stay stable in place inside the structure.
4. The rebars ends are mostly covered by plastic caps in order to avoid accidental injure to construction workers.
